Qualifications and Evaluations

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

To qualify for the GS-12 level you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal government.

Examples of specialized experience at the GS-12 level may include: editing moderately complex scientific and technical material for printed or spoken media for a general scientific audience or informed layman; this may include shifting of sentences within paragraphs, corrections of sentences for faulty syntax or poor choice of words, conformance to GPO, required style, and grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Examples of specialized experience at the GS-11 level may include: editing moderately complex scientific and technical material; writing printed or spoken media for a general scientific audience or informed laymen; and insuring that editing and writing conforms to all applicable requirements.

You must meet citizenship and all other qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
